TELNET TASK

Well this was something totally alien to me but turned out to be not such a difficult task for the first one. I got into Telnet through start. run. telnet.exe - thank's to suggestions I picked up on the discussion posts. Before I could say 'Jack Sprat' I was staring at a black screen I never knew I could produce on my Lap Top. What's more, by typing in o (for open) followed by library@deakin.com.au it began talking to me! Scarey stuff! It seemed I was in the archives of the library resource centre, and by following the course instructions I soon received an email in my curtin inbox to give me the answer to the self test question, "What is the title of the book by Bennahum?"......... A. Managed Care:financial,legal and ethical issues. Hope I don't have to read it LOL.
Anyway that's it on Telnet for now, but it has left me curious as to what else I can use it for apart from finding books.
